Why is this bamboo comb better for your hair?
For a start, a bamboo comb gently massages the skin. This is ensured by the bamboo pins with rounded ends. By combing with these, you stimulate blood circulation. This leads to less hair breakage and hair loss and promotes hair growth. And if that’s not enough: it also prevents static hair!
We’d rather not lump everyone together, but this is what everyone wants, right?
Sustainable and animal-friendly bamboo
Like many of our products, this beautiful comb is made of bamboo. Bamboo is incredibly sustainable for several reasons. For one, it is the fastest-growing plant in the world. The type we use, moso bamboo, grows up to one metre a day under optimal conditions.
In addition, the origin and cycle of a bamboo plant is also very sustainable. This is because it does not grow from seeds, but from one large root system. Using at least five-year-old bamboo keeps the root system healthy and intact, with new branches constantly growing out.
Most importantly though, we do not pose a threat to pandas. After all, bamboo makes up over 90% of their diet. But fortunately, they prefer to eat the leaves that grow close to the ground. That is why their choice is not moso bamboo. The leaves of this species grow too high.
Part of a greener world
Since our partnership with the International Association of Human Values (AIHV) and Eden Reforestation Projects (ERP), we plant a tree for every purchase. We do this together with ERP, a global expert in tree planting. They operate in 8 different countries on three continents and have already planted nearly 500 million trees.
